While they are there meditating, a shadow appears and steals the manuscript of the Chil-sal fighting technique from its hiding spot in Jang-kyung Pavilion. With this incident, Priest Hye-myung of the Shaolin temple repents for his negligence of not being able to protect the precious manuscripts. He leaves the inner temple business to Buddhist priest Hye-gong. After practicing Zen while facing the wall for a hundred days, Hye-myung leaves for the government office buildings where is a secret path that only Hye-myung knows. He gives the Chil-sang manuscript to his son Yuk-cheong and dreams of him ruling the world through him. While standing guard over the manuscripts, Il-rang fights with five suspicious men in the deep night. After their fight, Il-rang becomes friends with them and starts to learn the Oh-hyung fighting technique. Yuk-cheong and Il-rang get into a battle. Yuk-cheong falls and Hye-myung's sinister plots are revealed. Peace returns to Shaolin Temple.
